The Advisory Board for the Kaskaskia College Cosmetology program met on Monday, October 28. Topics of discussion included the need for a retail program in our student salon, updating the salon computer program and the current product lines used in the salon. Kaskaskia College Cosmetology’s new online curriculum and haircutting simulation software were introduced to members. Additional advertising ideas and future recruitment was also discussed.
Advisory Board members congratulated Kaskaskia College on their ability to produce successful graduates ready for the salon. It was stated that graduates from KC are well-prepared when transitioning from school to the salon with skilled hands-on practice and great work ethic.
