“Computer Basics” Class To Be Held in Vandalia

The Kaskaskia College Department of Industrial and Continuing Education will present a “Computer Basics” class at the KC Vandalia Campus.  The class will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, September 23, 25 and 27, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The registration number for the class COED 7020 VA01D.

This is a hands-on learning course for the novice computer user that will include the history of the computer along with fun facts, learning the components and parts of a computer, with an emphasis on learning how a computer works. Other areas covered will include word processing with spell check if available, and use of special key sequences to format documents, as well as learning to use the Ribbon for commands and formatting. Cost for this class is $30.00.  Students are welcome to bring their own laptop or tablet to class, but not required.
