Lauren Krebs and Devon Holle Crowned Homecoming Queen and King at Kaskaskia College

Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that Lauren Krebs of Breese and Devon Holle of Hoyleton were crowned Homecoming Queen and King at festivities held at KC on Saturday. 
 
Lauren Krebs is a member of the Blue Angels Soccer Team and works as a tutor in the KC Success Center.  She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and hopes to transfer to a four year university after her time at KC to study to be a psychiatric nurse.
 
Devin Holle is a member of the Blue Devils basketball team and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is studying drafting.
 
The remaining Homecoming court included Courtney Gerstenecker from Shattuc, Zach Rudolph from Sandoval, Keaton Braddy from Centralia, Grant Rexillius from Salem, Julie Waldhoff from Teutopolis, Colton Calhoun from Mt. Zion, Katrina Rakers from Breese, and Austen Wagoner from Dyer, IN.
 
The candidates were nominated by KC faculty and staff members and voted on by students, staff and faculty. In order to be a member of the KC King and Queen court the nominees were required to be fulltime freshman students at KC, hold a GPA of a 3.0 or above and be involved in at least one extracurricular activity.
 
Courtney Gerstenecker is a member of the KC Agriculture Club, STAT, Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Theta Lambda, Core Values Team and Illinois FFA Alumni. After KC, Courtney plans to transfer to a University to study agricultural education to be a high school agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor.
 
Zach Rudolph is studying criminal justice and serves as a manager for the men’s basketball team.  He plans to transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
 
Keaton Braddy is studying nursing and is a member of STAT and Phi Theta Kappa. She plans to complete the RN program by May 2016 and transfer to McKendree University in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
 
Grant Rexillius is studying business and plans to attend SIUE school of Business to pursue a degree in business marketing.
Julie Waldhoff is studying business and is a member of the KC Cross Country team. She plans to transfer to a four year University and graduate with a bachelors in business.
 
Colton Calhoun is studying business and is a member of the KC baseball team. He plans to transfer to a four year University to continue playing baseball and earn a bachelor’s degree.
 
Katrina Rakers is a member of Students in Recruitment, Core Values, Honors Program, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She hopes to become a Registered Nurse in 2 years and specialize in pediatrics.
 
Austen Wagoner is studying business and is a member of the KC baseball team. He plans to play baseball at a four year school and earn a bachelor’s degree in business.
