DUAL CREDIT is a partnership between Kaskaskia College and the participating
district high schools in Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Marion and Washington Counties
that allows high school students the opportunity to get a head start on their college
education.
WHY ENROLL IN DUAL CREDIT COURSES:
- Courses are free; reducing the cost of college for families.
- Students can visualize themselves as college material.
- Experience the rigor of college courses in a familiar environment.
- Accelerate progress toward degree completion and graduate early.
- Reduce course load and relieve some of the pressure and stress in first year of college.
- Earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously.
Courses are typically taught at the high schools by high school instructors
who have been approved by KC faculty and administration and recommended by the
high school administration.

and GPA at Kaskaskia College. To view your unofficial college transcript, go
to
CampusNet.kaskaskia.edu. Log in using your KC ID number and birthday (MMDDYEAR)
or the last four digits of your social security number. If a student wishes to
withdraw or drop from a college course, they should speak with their teacher or high
school guidance counselor.
For students wishing to transfer their credits to another college/university,
they must complete a

completion of their senior year. College credits transfer to most state and
out-of-state colleges/universities; however, it is recommended that students
work with each specific college.
