Kim begins her fifth season as head coach for the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels Volleyball Program. Rahar attended Breese Central High School and received a volleyball scholarship to continue her athletic career at Southwestern Illinois College. After graduating from SWIC, she attended Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and played volleyball for two years until an injury sidelined her. She was named All Great Lakes Valley Conference First Team, GLVC Player of the Year and was on the All American Second Team in 2006. Rahar averaged 4.52 points per game for SIU-E in 2006 and registered 3.75 kills per game. She played in 73 games on the year and led the league in blocks with 1.38 per game. She was twice named GLVC Player-of-the-Week during the season and guided the Cougars to the conference regular season title with a 16-0 record. She graduated from SIU-E with a Bachelor of Arts and science degree in sociology. Rahar served as an assistant volleyball coach at St. Rose Elementary School. According to Coach Rahar, “We have a lot of potential and will work toward a GRAC title”. Rahar lives in Breese with her husband Nick and son Riddick.
