This year the 2010-2011 Kaskaskia Softball team was named to the 2011 Academic-All-American team Blue Angels had a team GPA of 3.18 for the year this has not been
done since 2002. Also we had
individuals that made the Academic-All-American which are Sam Huthinson and
Jessi Chapman.
The Blue Angels finished 4th in the Regional XXIV (24) this had not been
achieved since 2001 . The team had a fielding percentage of .890 and a hitting
percentage of .347, slugging percent of .643. Two players that made the NJCAA D1
Region 24 Tournament team, they are Alshia Capps (Mt. Vernon IL) ,and Jillian
Boeschen (Belleville IL).
Ashley Woodrome Centralia High school graduate (pitcher) broke a school record
with 15 strikeouts in one game on
March 20, 2011. Kaskaskia college
win 8-1 over Robert Morris
University-Springfield.
