
Liea played women’s basketball for Kaskaskia College from 1996-1998. As a freshman, she was selected for All Conference, was named an Academic All American, third team All American, and was the Conference Newcomer of the Year. As a sophomore, Liea was named GRAC Player of the Year, Region 24 MVP, and First Team All American. She averaged 20.7 points per game and became the third person in the history of Kaskaskia College to score 1000 career points. She was named Conference MVP both years she played and was the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels team MVP.
Liea received a full scholarship to play Division I Women’s Basketball at Southeast Missouri State where she was awarded the Hoover Award for Academic Excellent on and off the court during her senior year. After graduation, Liea became a police officer with the St. Louis Police Department.
