Graduation Application
Kaskaskia College has been awarding diplomas since 1942 when
it was formerly named Centralia Junior College. The College
takes pride in celebrating and recognizing students who
successfully complete their goals at Kaskaskia College, and
welcome them as part of the Alumni. Each student will be
certified for graduation in degree and/or certificate programs
according to the requirements specified in the Kaskaskia College
catalog at the time of the student's enrollment if
graduation requirements are met within a five year period.
If graduation requirements are not met within a five years of the
student's Kaskaskia College matriculation, the student must
meet the graduation requirements specified in the current
catalog. The five year requirement may be waived by the
appropriate instructional dean if individual circumstances
warrant. To request a waiver of this requirement, a student must
submit a written request stating the reasons for such
consideration at the time the application for graduation is
completed.

Sociology 101 or Managing Diversity 134 to meet the
requirements of Illinois Public Act 87-581.
- Every student must enroll in and successfully complete PHLE
119 to receive a degree.
- Meet all financial obligations due to the College, and complete
all records required by the College office.
- Students are encouraged to participate in graduation
exercises in May, and should notify the Records Office if
unable to attend.
- Any student completing graduation requirements at the end
of the Summer or Fall semesters may participate in
commencement ceremonies at the end of the following Spring
semester.
ADDITIONAL ASSOCIATE DEGREES
A degree may be awarded after completion of program and
college requirements as listed above. A second degree may be
awarded when requirements of the program of study and the
degree requirements are met.
The degrees and certificates are more precisely identified and
defined with requirements for admission in the Programs of
Study section. Eligibility for Programs of Study is listed in the
Admissions Requirements section.
