Tempo Bank Donates to Trenton Education Center Campaign Tempo Bank has recently pledged $10,000 to the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center Capital Campaign.

Brad and Michelle Maue and Dairy King Donates to Trenton Education Center Campaign Brad and Michelle Maue and Dairy King has recently donated $5,000 to the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center Capital Campaign.

Maue states, “I am an alumni of Kaskaskia College and have seen the growth, the potential and the opportunities this is giving our local communities. Dairy King is excited to be a part of the KC Trenton Education Center. We have committed to giving $1000 for each of the next 5 years to show our support for the expansion project. We are thrilled that those students from the western part of the county will have an opportunity to get their Associate's Degree at the Trenton location”.

Bowling Tournament a Great Success Bowling tournament The KC Trenton Expansion retail team would like to thank the bowlers, spectators and donors who helped make its recent bowling tournament a success. The event raised $969.00 in bowler fees, its 50/50 drawing, through raffle sales and from those who donated their money back to KC for the expansion.

Winning teams were Sunshine Salon (women), GameSafe Bro's (men) and Marcus Crushers (mixed). Each winning team received $100.00 and each winning team member earned a one-of-a-kind tournament-embroidered game towel. GameSafe Bro's returned its winnings to the college, as did 50/50 winner Alicia Crow.

Raffle prizes, donated by KC's bookstore, the KC athletics department, KC's marketing department, Jim's Men & Boys Shop and GameSafe included the tourney towels, champagne & chocolates, a KC fitness membership, KC bookstore goodies, a wine, cheese & sausage basket, a movie basket and more.

March 2nd Bowling Tournament to Benefit Kaskaskia College Trenton Expansion The Kaskaskia College expansion campaign will host an all-day bowling tournament in Bartelso on March 2nd at Bartelso Bowling Alley & KC Hall.

Teams must have six players and may be mixed, male or female. The entry fee is $150 (may be paid by cash, check or credit card) and includes games, shoes and a colored pin strike prize.

Teams may sign up at the bowling alley (912 Carlyle Road / Route 161), at the Kaskaskia College Centralia campus book store (27210 College Road) or by calling or emailing Nancy Hubert at 618.224.9000 / hubert101@hotmail.com. Pre-registration is required, however, team openings available day of tournament may be filled by repeat play or walk-ins. Team roster to be completed at lanes on day of event.

New Baden Resident Donates to KC Trenton Campaign New Baden resident and KC Adjunct Faculty Member, Michael May, donates in support for the expansion of the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center. Droege recently donated $500 to the capital campaign.

May, an Ethics instructor for Kaskaskia College, says, “Education is so valuable to our community and is needed to sustain life. This center will bring a great value to our community and I am happy to be able to support it.”

Dr. Tim Droege Donates to KC Trenton Campaign Breese Dentist, Dr. Tim Droege, commits his support for the expansion of the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center. Dr. Droege recently donated $1,000 to the capital campaign.

According to Droege, “The community that Kaskaskia College serves continues to grow. The expansion in Trenton is inevitable and donating to the campaign helps the community in which I live and serve.”

Herm Haselhorst Donates Toward the Expansion of KC’s Trenton Education Center Mr. Herm Haselhorst of Highland has made a $1,000 personal donation to help the expansion of Kaskaskia College’s Trenton Education Center. The existing center occupies 3,800 square feet and the expansion is expected to bring 16,000 square feet of instructional and lab space. Donations are being accepted to meet the expansion’s goal of raising $900,000 in private funds.

Mr. Haselhorst, a lifelong resident of Trenton since 1937 says, “I never had the opportunity to go to college, but I made certain that all of my children received a college education. I think the idea of an expanded campus in Trenton is great. The building will be impressive and I hope many area residents are able to take advantage of the Center.”

Dan and Carol Imming Donate to KC Trenton Campaign Dan and Carol Imming of Imming Insurance of Carlyle recently donated $500 to the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center.

The College is seeking to expand its facility on old Highway 50 east in Trenton from 3,800 square feet to 16,000 square feet. Once completed, the new enhanced Trenton Education Center will allow KC to offer additional courses and programs to meet the demands of residents in the region. The project has an estimated cost of $2.4 million, with $1.5 million from extended bond funds and the remaining $900,000 from donations.

Clinton County Farm Bureau Donates to KC Trenton Campaign The Clinton County Farm Bureau is the latest organization to support the expansion of the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center. The Clinton County Farm Bureau approved a donation of $5,000 towards the expansion campaign, which will enhance educational opportunities to residents on the western side of Clinton County.

Cliff Schuette, Vice-President of the Clinton County Farm Bureau says, “The Clinton County Farm Bureau is pleased to support the Trenton Center Expansion Project. Our group is proud to be able to help Kaskaskia College maintain its mission of “bringing education to the people”. We are hopeful that the KC Agriculture Program will be included into the programming at Trenton and want the citizens of Clinton County to know that we support education and the local producers.

Sisters Donate $500 to Trenton Education Center Campaign Sisters Charlotte Hartley of Centralia and Karen Henss-Shackleford of Trenton recently made a $500 donation to the Trenton Education Center Expansion. The sisters, daughters of Hilda Gibson, felt it was important to support the expansion of program offerings, including the Certified Nursing Assistant Program in Trenton, because they felt that CNAs were invaluable while their mother was a resident at an extended care center suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Four of Hilda Gibson’s children attended KC, and the new, expanded Trenton Center will make it a destination of choice for upcoming generations, the sisters feel.

New Baden Chamber of Commerce Donates to KC Trenton Campaign The New Baden Chamber of Commerce is the latest organization to support the expansion of the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center. The chamber last night donated $1,000 towards the expansion campaign, which will enhance educational opportunities to residents on the western side of Clinton County. “The New Baden Chamber of Commerce is pleased to support the KC Trenton Project,” said Chamber president Larry Wankel, “and we look forward to the benefits it will reap for our communities.”

The College is seeking to expand its facility on old Highway 50 east in Trenton from 3,800 square feet to 16,000 square feet. Once completed, the new enhanced Trenton Education Center will allow KC to offer additional courses and programs to meet the demands of residents in the region. The project has an estimated cost of $2.4 million, with $1.5 million from extended bond funds and the remaining $900,000 from donations. A campaign is underway to raise the needed funds, with over $400,000 raised to date since the campaign kickoff in May.

Kaskaskia College Trenton Expansion Campaign To Host Fundraiser October 6 The Kaskaskia College Trenton Expansion Campaign will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, October 6 at the Jailhouse Rock Bar.
The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and the event will include music and a special appearance by Elvis. Tickets are $30.00 per person (advance ticket purchase required) and include the entertainment, a large assortment of appetizers and two beverages. A “pick a prize”, oral auction and 50/50 raffle will also be held.
The “Pick a Prize Promotion” is when the ticket holder can select which large ticket item they would like to win. Items include 2 KC Season of Entertainment Season Tickets (Oct. 15, Dec. 11, Feb. 24, Mar. 31 and Apr. 20 - worth $200); two tickets to the December 2 St. Louis Rams Tickets vs, San Francisco (Section 428, Row GG, Seats 1 & 2 – worth $90); 2 Tickets to a show at the Muny (worth $100); 3-Credit Hour Class at Kaskaskia College (worth $300); KC Athletic Basket with 10 Season Passes (worth $75); St. Louis Zoo Family Pack Tickets (4 each: train, children's zoo, sea lion show & carousel – worth $65; Jay Voss Detroit Tigers Autograph Photograph; Burnett’s Vodka Pack (Cooler, T-shirt & Bottle – worth $90); Wooden Classic Car, Nuts/Cracker Box (worth $20); and KC Bookstore Basket (worth $30). Village of Aviston Pledges $5,000 to KC Trenton Education Center Campaign Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that the Village of Aviston has recently pledged $5,000 toward the expansion of the KC Trenton Education Center.

The College is now undergoing the process of designing the new KC Trenton Center and an addition for accommodating newly planned educational programs. The new center is expected to consist of approximately 15,000 square feet of classrooms, labs, and industrial space. The center will also allow for expanded offerings that are needed to meet the requirements of the communities, and will eventually allow for selected degrees to be earned by students at the Center without the need to commute to the main campus.

Bryan Holthaus of Aviston to Donate to Expansion of KC’s Trenton Education Center Bryan Holthaus of Aviston has announced a personal pledge of $5,000 to help the expansion of Kaskaskia College’s Trenton Education Center. The existing center occupies 3,800 square feet and the expansion is expected to bring 16,000 square feet of instructional and lab space. Donations are being accepted to meet the expansion’s goal of raising $900,000 in private funds.

Holthaus, a member of the KC Board of Trustees, is pleased to make this pledge on behalf of the campaign. “I’m so delighted by the support the campaign has received from individuals and the communities and I’m glad to be able to contribute towards this project,” said Holthaus. “An expanded KC Trenton Education Center will enhance opportunities for residents in the western portion of the KC’s District to reach their educational goals.”

State Farm Agent Herb Schlarmann Donates Toward the Expansion of KC’s Trenton Education Center Trenton State Farm Agent Herb Schlarmann has recently donated $1,500 to assist with the expansion of Kaskaskia College’s Trenton Education Center. The existing center occupies 3,800 square feet and the expansion is expected to bring 16,000 square feet of instructional and lab space. Donations are being accepted to meet the expansion’s goal of raising $900,000 in private funds.

Schlarmann, a resident of Breese, was a resident of Trenton for more than forty years and has been an agent for State Farm for 45 years. He was also Mayor of Trenton for 28 years and says that “bringing the Trenton Education Center to the community is one of my proudest moments as Mayor. The opportunity to now expand the Center is just a great prospect for our community.”
