SUMMARY
Keeps hospital, nursing home and office building, or similar building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Functions within all policies, procedures, rules and regulations applicable to the organization.
-Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
-Cleans upholstered furniture.
-Empties trash and garbage containers.
-Reports all hazardous conditions or needed repairs.
-Cleans sidewalks, parking lots, entrances, and grounds.
-Cleans equipment at end of day.
-Performs day to day housekeeping functions as assigned.
-Assures that an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies to perform daily tasks are maintained in janitorial closet such as restoring shelves, maintaining a clean and safe area, and well organized.
-Strips and seals floors only as directed by management.
-Spray buffs floors, cleans carpets and ceilings as directed.
-Productive in completing assigned duties.
-Assist others in lifting furniture, equipment, supplies, etc as directed.
-Properly prepare medical waste for transportation.
-Attend in-service and meetings as directed.
