Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for the management of all production departments as it relates to safety, quality, and productivity. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of the customers, while maximizing operational effectiveness. This position will provide daily direction and leadership to the press and finishing department, and ensure compliance to all Company policies and procedures. The Production Manager is responsible for monitoring performance, setting expectations, and development of staff. Outcomes Improved operational effectiveness Using Lean manufacturing concepts streamline processes and procedures Ensure that customer specifications are consistently met or exceeded Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives Support divisional and corporate AIP for organizational change Spearhead cost reduction initiatives Meet or exceed standards for environmental, safety, working conditions and cleanliness Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to develop employees Identify areas of vulnerability Address talent deficiencies via Performance Improvement and Developmental Plans Create meaningful plans to increase the skills of direct and indirect reports Drive Culture initiatives that focus on engaging our employees and increasing employee engagement. Facilitate and drive Division Lean initiatives, regular communication meetings and employee recognition activities Drive continuous progress against culture action plans support the implementation of countermeasures where appropriate Competencies Strategic Agility: Proven ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in packaging industry related field or business Minimum 5 years printing/finishing department manager experience Proven technical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated supervisory and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate people. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and SAP skills. Lean Manufacturing experiences a plus. Proven culture development experience EOE/MFDV
