Title: Test Team Lead- Technical Architect
Location: St. Louis, MO-Collinsville

This position will provide the design, implementation and support of the Smart Grid Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Test Lab and associated testing processes.  This lab will contain various technologies including: servers, storage, networking, advanced meters and home area network devices. It will contain a small scale complete representation of the software and hardware required in support of the Ameren Illinois AMI solution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide the technical foundation, subject matter expertise and governance for the infrastructure architecture and associated testing processes of the test lab.
- Develop and document the reference architectures, infrastructure blueprints, roadmaps, optimization options of the test lab.
- Develop and document the testing procedures and processes for the AMI project team and long term support of the AMI solution.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security experts to ensure that appropriate controls are current and integrated into testing processes and architecture.
- Conduct research on emerging AMI technologies, and make recommendations for technologies that provide business and customer value.
- Confer with and support business and IT internal and external resources involved in the AMI solution .
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent computer related degree from an accredited college or university required.  Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience without the academic requirements.
Five or more years of experience as an Information Specialist, LAN Engineer, IT Supervisor, or Computer Information Systems Analyst leading the design and implementation of business applications on LAN/WAN environments with a minimum of two years in a project management or leadership role with a degree OR, in lieu of a degree, ten years of experience, as referenced above, required.
Excellent communication, organization, and human relations skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and direct the work of others.
