The following criteria are established for this award:

• The scholarship will be given to a graduate of Central City Grade School.  Please submit proof of graduation (diploma, letter, or grade report).
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time at Kaskaskia College.
• Student may enroll in any course of study so long as he/she is working toward a degree or certificate.
• Recipient must have a GPA of 2.5 or better, on a 4.0 scale.
• Preference will be given based on a personal written essay including a statement of why the student is applying for scholarship.  Please include personal goals, community activities, economic needs and future goals.
• Financial need will be a factor of consideration.
• Participation in extra- curricular activities will be favorably considered.
• This scholarship is for $1,000 ($500 awarded in the fall and $500 in the spring semesters) and will be credited to the recipient’s account at Kaskaskia College and is restricted to tuition, fees, books and course related supplies purchased through the Kaskaskia College Bookstore, and childcare provided by the Kaskaskia College Children’s Learning Center.
