campus employment, veteran's services, and loans. Students are encouraged to complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) used by the Financial Aid office to determine
eligibility for many aid sources. Through our programs, the College attempts to make education
financially possible for all eligible and qualified applicants.
All prospective students may go to
for eligibility requirements and information on grants, scholarships, student loans, work study,
and veteran's benefits. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line at
least three months prior to the semester you plan to begin attending KC. This should provide
sufficient processing time for financial aid award. Go to the FAFSA website at
www.fafsa.gov to apply.
Once your FAFSA information is received from the Federal Processing Center you will receive a
letter from Kaskaskia College explaining the next steps in this process. This notification
letter may request additional documentation to complete your financial aid file therefore, you
will need to submit all required documents to the Financial Aid office promptly. Upon completion
of your file, you will receive communications from the financial aid office. It is your
responsibility to periodically review financial aid information and watch for information being
mailed providing important instructions for you.
