Renovations of Crossroads Workforce Center were completed in April, 2007 with a ribbon cutting
ceremony and open house being held on Thursday, October 4, 2007.
The Crossroads Workforce Center at 325 South Poplar in Centralia, houses a
collaboration of services supported by the Workforce Investment Act, Adult
Literacy Education, U.S. Small Business Administration, and the Illinois
Department of Employment Security.
All services are free and are designed to assist individuals in fulfilling
their education, employment, and career needs. Various personnel at the
center are available to assist you, whether you need to:
- File for unemployment
- Search for employment and complete employment applications
- Develop a resume
- Obtain a GED
- Pursue a trade certificate and/or degree
- Determine a career goal
- Find financial aid to support your educational goals
- Obtain assistance in starting your own small business
To use the self-help services of the center, no appointment is necessary.
General hours of operation are from Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
