As long as there continue to be people, there will be a need for nurses! Nurses make a difference in the lives of multitudes of people by promoting health, preventing disease and saving lives. Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system.
Nurses are caregivers, teachers, researchers, critical thinkers, informants, policy makers, advocates, counselors, team players, managers, administrators, encouragers, community leaders, organizers, specialists and professionals.
The Nursing Department at Kaskaskia College has prepared over 1800 graduates
for a career in nursing. The Associate Degree Nursing program is fully
accredited by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
(
www.dfpr.state.il.us) and by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (
www.NLNAC.org).
