Chocolate Milk Mile Run Scheduled for May 28 – Proceeds to Benefit KC Cross Country Program

​A “Chocolate Milk Mile” will be held Sunday, May 28 at the Salem Community High School Track.  All proceeds from the race will benefit the Kaskaskia College Cross Country Program.
 
Races take place on a 400m track and all racers must complete four laps. Runners must drink one 12 oz. glass of chocolate milk before starting each lap. Any milk that is wasted or voluntarily/involuntarily exits mouth will result in 30 sec penalty per occurrence. Person who completes mile and drinking the fastest wins. 
 
Races will be broken into heats by estimated seed times consisted of approximately 12 racers per heat.  First heat starts at 9:00 a.m. with fastest heats going first.  Heats will run approximately 15-20 minutes apart.  Trophies will be awarded for the top two overall male and female runners.
 
Pre-registration entry fees is $20 for race and t-shirt or $5 for race only.  Race day registration is $20 for race and t-shirt (if available) or $10 for race only.  Runners under 18 will need guardian’s written consent on the day of the race.
