Students Attend PAS Conference in Springfield

Kaskaskia College Agriculture and Horticultire Students recently attended the Illinois Postsecondary Agricultural Students (PAS) Annual Conference in Springfield.
 
Team awards earned were:  Soils Specialist - 1st place team and Blake Uchitjil (Odin) - 1st Individual and Tyler Pokojski (Centralia) - 2nd
Individual; Landscape Specialist – 1st place team and Robby Bennett (Vandalia) - 1st place Individual and Amy Raymond (Highland)
- 3rd place individual; Dairy Specialist - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams and Dylan Reed (Beecher (City) - 1st place individual and Jessica Telgman
(Strasburg) - 2nd place individual.
 
Other awards earned include Elizabeth Donoho (Salem) - 1st place Prepared Public Speaking, 2nd Ag Business Management & Marketing Career
Planning; Dakota Sharp Greenville) - 1st place Plant Systems Career Planning; Addy Brennan (Trenton) - 2nd place Animal Systems Ruminant

Students Tyler Pokojski was also elected the 2014-15 IL PAS President and Brad Braddock (Patoka) was elected the 2014-15 IL PAS Vice
President.
 
Other students competing were Abby Huelsmann (Breese), Tanner Knebel (Highland), Emily Schwartzkopf (Nashville), Jeremy Kleiboeker
(Breese), Newt Albert (Mulberry Grove), and Wayne Madson (Trenton).
