2013 marks the third year for recognizing the accomplishments of young area businesses. The South Central Illinois Growth Alliance (SCIGA) and the Kaskaskia College Illinois Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) are pleased to announce co-winners for this year: Sunrise Care Givers of Greenville and, Tavie Tots USA Licensed Bows of Salem.
Art Borum, Director for SCIGA commented “when reviewing the entries, it became clear that recognizing both of these firms would most accurately demonstrate what the Emerging Entrepreneur Award is all about.” Borum continued with “we are so pleased that Sunrise Care Givers represents Bond County and Tavie Tots represents Marion County from the five counties covered by Kaskaskia College. It shows that entrepreneurs exist everywhere.”
Sunrise Care Givers is owned by Toni Stone and opened in late 2009. Tavie Tots USA Licensed Bows is owned by Sue Morgan and opened in early 2011. Both firms employ a combination of full time and part time workers, and their job creation continues.
Stone and Morgan will receive their awards on September 25th
at the 5:30 p.m. SCIGA meeting. Friends, colleagues and community members are always welcome. Please RSVP to email@example.com
