Kaskaskia College is announcing that slots remain in the new Associate of Arts Degree in Electronics, Automation Computer Technology. This new degree will take your interest in computers to a new level.
This new program incorporates the latest content in automation and robotics which are a growing part of the industrial workplace. This new program is designed to provide commercial and industrial facilities and manufacturing companies with the work force training in computer, automation and robotics to meet the requirements of today’s high technology workplace. Many of the jobs relocating to this country are due to the automation of robotics, and technicians are needed for this area. Building and automation systems are becoming more computerized, which is increasing the need for a more advanced field. The goal of the Electronics Automation Computer Tech (EACT) program is to train students with technology that is equal to or more advanced than what is currently being used in the industry.
EACT includes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). The commercial applications include Building Automation Systems (BAS) for the management of buildings and energy management. EACT also includes the networking of these systems much like computer networking we use every day.
With the growth in technology in computers, automation and robotics the field is always expanding. For more information contact the Kaskaskia College Admissions Office at 545-3040 or email Don Sensel at email@example.com.
