Recent Wayne City graduate and softball player Megan Slover recently signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her softball career and education at Kaskaskia College.
Slover, a two sport athlete hit .457 her senior year and was an integral part of the high school softball program. Her accolades include being named to the All-Conference Team and receiving the Offensive Award her junior and senior years. She was also named Most Improved her sophomore year.
Wayne City Assistant Coach DeAirdra Dagg says of Slover, “Megan is one of the best players to come out of Wayne City High School. We are excited for her choice to attend Kaskaskia and know that she will make an impact with them immediately in the lineup.”
"We are excited about Megan choosing to come to Kaskaskia. She has an explosive bat and we are hopeful that she will come in the fall and make a quick impact in the outfield as well as at the plate, said Kaskaskia coach Torey Crowell.
