Slots Remain in Upcoming Truck Driver Training Program in Salem and Centralia

Kaskaskia College is announcing that two slots remain available for the new evening and weekend option in Salem.  Classes are scheduled to start on June 7 and continue through January 25.  This option is geared towards the full time worker, as the classes are held on Friday nights and Saturdays for 34 weeks.

The Centralia section has slots available for the 8 week courses starting May 28 through July 23 and June 24 through August 12.

This is a great opportunity for those who want to learn a secondary trade to do so without interrupting their traditional workweek.  KC is very proud of the 100% employment rate of our successful completers.

The Truck Driver Training Program is a certificate program designed for an individual with no commercial driving experience and includes commercial driver's license learner's permit preparation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Department of Transportation rules and regulations, log books, map reading, trip planning, routine vehicle maintenance, load securement and other information as necessary to prepare individuals for the Illinois Secretary of State administered Class A road test and an entry level position in the trucking industry.
