About Us
The Kaskaskia College Nashville Education Center is located - where else but on Kaskaskia
Street in Nashville, Illinois. The Education center is housed on the northern edge of
Nashville - just one block west of Illinois Route 127 at 450 N. Kaskaskia Street. The
hometown of the Nashville Education Center is conveniently located in Southern Illinois,
only 52 miles from St. Louis, MO with a population of approximately 3500. The Education
Center was originally home to the Washington County Health Department and shares a
parking lot with the Illinois Driver’s License Facility.
The Nashville Education Center opened its doors in August, 2003 and has continued to
thrive ever since. It houses four education classrooms and a ten station up-to-date
computer lab and is open to the public 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. With Distant Learning equipment installed,
students also have the advantage of taking classes broadcasted from another facility,
allowing students to take a class without the extra travel involved.
The next time you are visiting the sites in beautifully historic Nashville, please stop
by and say hello to the staff at the Nashville Education Center. They are always open
to your thoughts and suggestions as to what can be done better to serve the residents of
the Washington County Community.
