Basic Weight Training

Influences on body temperature regulation:
  1. Body fat – more body fat helps body stay warm in cold, in heat causes body to warm faster
  2. Sweat glands – if you have numerous sweat glands helps to cool the body in warm weather
  3. Physical fitness level – more fit individuals bodies don’t have to work as hard in warm weather causing sweating sooner
  4. Gender – women efficient sweaters, men tend to sweat more which means their body temperature rises quicker
Heat Stress Levels:
  1. Heat cramps
  2. Heat exhaustion
  3. Heatstroke
Considerations for the cold:
  1. Wind Chill factor
  2. Frostbite
  3. Hypothermia
