The Electrical Technology Program provides students with the basics of electrical
wiring used in the installation and maintenance of lighting, appliances, motors,
heating, and air conditioning. Courses include the operation, testing, and
maintenance of electrical equipment and electronics for skills in electrical
controls and solid-state devices. Students will learn to make electrical
connections and install different types of wiring used in the trade. By
developing a strong basic knowledge of transformers, motors, and controls,
graduates will find opportunities for employment in a variety of areas in both
residential and commercial wiring.
