Kaskaskia College's Dislocated Worker Services are offered at the Crossroads Workforce Center that is located in downtown Centralia.  Workforce development services are funded and supported by the U.S. Derpartment of Labor and the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.  The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is charged with enhancing Illinois' economic competitiveness by providing technical and financial assistance to businesses, local governments, workers, and families.

DCEO's Bureau of Workforce Development is committed to encouraging statewide economic development by cultivating a well-trained workforce.  To accomplish this goal, the Bureau identifies youth, adults and dislocated workers who are eligible for assistance under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).  The staff at the Crossroads Workforce Center provides residents fo the community college district with information and employment- related services that will assist them in entering or re-entering unsubsidized employment by utilizing its Resource Room and case management services.
