Program Requirements
Career and Technical Certificate
- File an application for admission to Kaskaskia college.
- File a final high school transcript or GED scores. Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient to enter the program.
- Take the English portion of the ASSET or ACT test.
- Review, sign and return the "Cosmetology Course Requirements and Specifics" document.
- Complete the Cosmetology Admission Worksheet.
- Once the worksheet has been completed, an acceptance letter will be mailed to the prospective student.
The Kaskaskia College Cosmetology program is a full-time 11 month course. This course
is conducted Monday – Friday from 8am to 3pm. During your training, you must complete
all course requirements as outlined below:

Students are required to earn a grade of "C" or better in all program specific
courses to be eligible to continue.
