Description: An introduction to the study of clinical hematology, which emphasizes the basic procedures performed in most clinical laboratories and their use in the diagnosis and follow-up of hematological disorders. The role of the laboratory in the diagnosis of anemias, leukemias, myeloproliferative disorders, and other diseases affecting the hematopoietic system are stressed. The collection, handling, and processing of samples are covered in detail.
