Beginning this semester, the students of the Culinary Arts department will be treating us to fine dining in the cafeteria.  This not only provides everyone with great food, but also provides valuable experience to the culinary arts students.  Dishes will be cooked to order while you watch.  The dishes will be only slightly more expensive than standard cafeteria staples, but drastically cheaper than what you would normally expect to pay in a restaurant.  This service will be open for business between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM Monday through Thursday.

Thursday has become become Steak Day.  A steak dinner with baked potato, salad, and medium drinks will be featured for only $5.00.  There will be no substitutions allowed on the Steak Dinner meal.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays will alternate between Taco Salads, Fried Chicken, or our popular Italian dishes such as Chicken Palazollo, Turkey Tetrazinni, Pasta Primavera and many more.

Monday is Comfort Food day.  Home favorites such as Macaroni and Cheese, Sausage 'n' Kraut, Ham 'n' Beans, or Kristen's Meat Loaf will be featured, and, of course, Friday remains Fish Fry Day.

Potato bar is now open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Remember that the Kaskaskia Cafeteria is open to all residents and visitors.  Arrange to meet your friends and family for lunch at the KC Cafeteria.  Attempts will be made to post the menu a few days in advance for any given day.

Cafeteria tokens are $18.00 for $20.00 worth of tokens.  If you ate lunch here every day for an entire school year, it would add up to substantial savings.  If you purchased an average meal of $4.00 every day, that would be around $72.00 in savings over a school year!

Also, K.C. Cafeteria Mugs can further the savings by reducing the cost of drinks.  A mug costs $2.50, and then refills are only $0.50.  Plus the mugs are insulated, so they will keep your drink cold or warm.
