Mr. Scott Jones

Mr. Scott Jones transferred to Kaskaskia College in the Fall of 1973,  from the University of Missouri.  Scott was a member of the KC Baseball Team and the Men’s Basketball Team.  He led Kaskaskia College in the highest batting average as a sophomore. 

Scott transferred to Eastern Illinois University  and  earned his degree in Political Science and went on to receive a law degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  He served as a member of the Kaskaskia College Adjunct Faculty in Criminal Justice.

Scott Jones has given back to his community, promoting athletics and the ideas of good sportsmanship as a high school basketball referee for over thirty years, officiating three Illinois High School State Tournament final games;  he served as a Great Rivers Athletic Conference Assigner for eight years, served on the Illinois High School Athletics Rules and Interpretations Committee for over twenty years receiving a twenty-five year award for his selfless dedication and service, and is a Centralia High School Hall of Fame recipient.
