Mrs. Kristy Jones Barton

Kristy Jones attended Kaskaskia College from 1980-1982 and was a member of the 1982 Women’s Tennis Team, coached by Jim McKee.  Her doubles partner was Mandy Travelstead and they qualified for NJCAA national finals.  The duo won the doubles championship in the state tournament and Kristy was second in singles competition.  Kristy placed 2nd overall in the 1983 Lincoln Land Invitational and was 1st in singles play.  Kristy Jones, along with Travelstead, were selected to the All-Region 24 Tournament First Team, marking the first time Kaskaskia College had qualified women players for the national finals.  Kristy was 4th overall in Regional 24 and 2nd in singles play. 

Kristy Jones graduated from Kaskaskia College with a certificate in Cosmetology.  She currently resides in California where she is a Navy Obstetrics Nurse.
