Mary Lampe attended Kaskaskia College from 1980 - 1982 and was a member of the 1980-1981 Blue Angels Basketball Team, the 1980 Blue Angels Volleyball Team and the 1980-1982 Blue Angels Softball Team.  The women's volleyball team finished with a record of 23-7, with sectionals victories over Wabash Valley and John A. Logan to advance to the State Tournament.  Mary Lampe was awarded the 1980 Spiking Award for the Blue Angels Volleyball Team and was selected to the All Conference Team.

The 1980 Blue Angels Softball Team finished their season with a record of 11-9 and finished 3rd in the Conference.  Mary was selected to the All Conference team.  As a member of the 1982 women's softball team, that finished the season with a record of 16-11 and garnered 2nd in the Conference.  Mary held the record with twenty-seven runs batted in and set a record  for pitching at Kaskaskia College striking out 46 batters.  Mary was also named to the 1982 Sectional All Tournament Team and was selected for the 1982 All Conference Team.
