Plant & Soil Science

A.A.S. Degree and/or Certificate
In order to obtain a degree under the Plant & Soil Science option, students will enroll in 13 core Agriculture classes and five additional Agricultural courses as well as the general education requirements of Kaskaskia College. The Plant & Soil Science option at Kaskaskia College emphasizes the plant & soil science aspect of agriculture. This option includes courses in soil and supplements, crop production, and chemicals in addition to preparing the student to pursue a career or advanced degree.

Field Internship
Students enrolled in the Agriculture Plant and Soil Science Program at Kaskaskia College complete a total of 600 hours of Supervised Occupational Experience.

Semester Offerings
Since many of the AGRC courses are offered only once each year, students should attempt to follow the program schedule as closely as possible.

Course substitutions will be handled on an individual basis. All course substitutions must be approved by the appropriate dean or vice-president.

AGRC 0554 Plant and Soil Science Certificate

Every student must enroll in and successfully complete one of the following courses to receive a degree (to meet requirements of Illinois Public Act 87-581):
